60 children from our primary schools attended Teign school’s Athletics festival on Tuesday.

The event was planned and led entirely by Teign year 10 level 2 sports leaders as part of their qualification. Children followed a rotation of activities including running, jumping and throwing activities along with learning about relay running. Sports leaders taught techniques for the various disciplines, gave lots of practice time and each activity culminated in a run jump or throw for distance or time.
